CKRC Rental Information

Maximum number allowed by order of the Fire Marshall and Liquor License: 150 People

  • A Rental Deposit of $200.00 is required within Seven (7) Days of Booking. Cancellations must be received no less than seven (7) days prior to rental date in order to obtain a full refund of money paid. (Event Date Required; Damage Deposit will be refunded upon Inspection of the hall and the Key Return; Cheques or Money Orders are made payable to CKRC). Renter could be held liable for damages in excess of $200.00.

  • Only persons nineteen (19) years of age or older may rent the facilities.

  • Decorations or signs are to be attached ONLY by supplies provided by the center.  Tape, tacks, nails, screws or staples are not allowed anywhere inside or outside the building. Use of any application other than provided could result in loss of deposit.

  • Users are responsible for their own set up, take down, and clean up. Clean-up must take place immediately following the event, unless special permission is given, and consist of:

    • Floors are to be swept if necessary

    • Kitchen area is to be left how it was found, i.e. supplies clean and put away, dish cloths/drying towels bagged and left in the kitchen

    • Heat is to be turned down to no less than 5°C, All Wall Units are to be no less than 10°C and all lights are to be switched off before leaving

    • Ensure water is not left running, including toilets

    • All decorations are to be removed.

    • For all late-night rentals, any music/entertainment must stop by 1:30 a.m. The bar will also shut down by 1 a.m. The building must be vacated by 2 a.m.

    • At the discretion of the board, groups may be permitted into the building before rental time slot to allow for set-up as long as the facility isn’t otherwise booked. If a secondary renter would like to book this time period, right-of-refusal will be given to the primary renter, in which case an extra $50 fee would apply.

  • Tables and chairs returned to the proper storage area

 

  • The rental group shall ensure that all fire exits are kept open and free from obstruction during the event.

  • Flameless Candles ONLY to be used.  No Open Flames are permitted.

  • Renter is responsible to ensure that all Alcoholic Beverages on the premises are the property of CKRC.  Any liquor that is consumed outside of the building during a rented function becomes the responsibility of the Renter and the CKRC will be absolved of any responsibility resulting from this activity.

 

Application Declaration: At the end of the above activity, I, the applicant, agree to check the premises to ensure that all coffee and tea perks are unplugged, stoves & gas are turned off, lights are out, alarm has been activated, and door has been locked.  The hall must be cleaned by 12:00 pm on the day following the function or the damage deposit will be kept by the CKRC for cleaning of the premises.  The key to the CKRC is to be returned to the center’s representative or his/her assistant the following day of the function.

The Central Kings Recreational Council Limited is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged items or any personal injuries.

The CKRC rental person or his/her appointed assistant may enter and inspect the premises at any time.  All functions taking place on CKRC premises are to conform to CKRC General By-Laws.

Rental Fees
Regular and Combined Rentals include use of Main Floor, Tables, Chairs, Coatroom, Washrooms, Coffee & Tea Urns and Water Pitchers.

Regular   .....................................  $100.00 (per time frame 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to Closing)

Combined ....................................  $200.00 (Rental Fee for Full Day)

Kitchen  ........................Additional $100.00 (for the use of kitchen equipment, cutlery, dishes, pots, fridges, stoves and serving trays)

Wedding Rental ...........................  $250.00 ($100.00 extra for Kitchen. Includes time in hall from Friday at 6:00 pm until Sunday at 12 noon)

Wireless Microphone....................  $25.00 (Microphone will be checked after use to ensure it is working properly prior to damage deposit being returned)

 

Meetings and Extended Rentals...  $50.00  (regularly scheduled meetings that will last for more than 6 months, rental fee will be reduced to $30.00 per occurrence)


Churches, Non-Profit, Local Service Org -- A Rental Fee of 10% of the Net Profit will be charged if the function is providing funds for the sustainability of the organization.  If the function is for the recreation of the organization’s membership, the regular rental fees will apply.
